Het Zwitserse Foam TalentLukas Wassmann is allesbehalve eenkennig: naast fotograaf is hij ook meubelmaker en hondentrainer. Deze diversiteit wordt weerspiegeld in zijn werk, dat zich net zo makkelijk richt op een klein vogeltje als een groot gebergte. Een constante is het gevoel voor humor, de foto’s van Wassmann zijn absurd zonder aan betekenis in te boeten. De absurditeit en humor vergroten de intrinsieke tegenstelling in de foto’s van Wassmann. Soms grappig en triest, mooi en lelijk of functioneel en belachelijk.
